About The Society Of Tumbling Waters, 

Jackson County, Inc.

 

The society has been organized exclusively for the purpose of assessing and preserving the historical nature of the Hurricane Shoals area within the provision of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended.

The corporation, Tumbling Waters Society of Jackson County, Inc., shall be operated for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, educational, and related purposes with the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code of 1954 or the corresponding provision of any future U.S. Internal Revenue law and as may be permitted to such corporations that are organized under the Georgia Non-profit Corporate Code.

The affairs of the Corporation shall be managed by a Board of Directors consisting of no less than fifteen (15) no more than thirty (30). Each Director shall serve as such until his or her death, resignation, or removal as Director. Directors of the Corporation shall receive NO COMPENSATION for their services as Directors.

The officers of the Corporation shall be elected by the Board annually at its regular annual meeting. The officers shall be a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, a Secretary, and a Treasurer.
